8 LVDC club members enjoyed the first club weekend at Swanage on the bank holiday, staying in the usual campsite. On the Saturday two Ocean Diver trainees had their first sea dive under the pier whilst the others dived out of Kimmeridge.
Under the pier wasn’t the best visiblity but once further out towards the end of the pier it improved enough to enjoy the dive and spot crabs, lots of fish, a very docile pipefish and lots of building materials. The diving out of Kimmeridge was nicely sheltered and the sea was flat calm. Lunch in the sunshine at Lulworth Cove was great and repeated on the Sunday.
On Sunday we all went out on the boat and dived the Black Hawk. Lunch again in Lulworth Cove followed by training dives in the protected waters of Lulworth Cove. Sunny, warm, flat calm sea and good visibility. What a lovely day out.
